The hydraulic double-ram blowout preventer is designed to effectively control blowouts during oil (gas) testing. It is also used for workover and data measurement at low-pressure wellheads. The hydraulic double-ram blowout preventer can be used alone or in combination with a single-ram blowout preventer. It can also be used in conjunction with an annular blowout preventer.
III. Blowout Preventer Equipment Working principle
1. Switch action principle
When the high-pressure oil of the hydraulic control system enters the closing chamber of the left and right hydraulic cylinders, the piston is pushed to drive the ram shaft and the ram assembly to move toward the center of the wellhead respectively along the tracks defined by the ram chamber to seal the well. When high-pressure oil enters the opening chamber of the left and right hydraulic cylinders, the piston is pushed to drive the ram shaft and ram assembly to move away from the center of the wellhead to open the wellhead. The gate switch controls the opening and closing actions of the blowout preventer by the reversing valve of the hydraulic control system.
2. Sealing principle:
The ram blowout preventer must have four seals to effectively seal the wellhead, namely: the ram top seal and the shell seal. The front seal of the gate, the seal between the pipe and the front seal. Seal between housing and side door. The seal between the gate shaft and the side door.
The sealing process of the gate is divided into two steps: first, under the action of hydraulic oil, the gate shaft pushes the front sealing rubber core of the gate to squeeze and deform the sealing front part, and finally the interference compression sealing part between the sealing rubber core and the shell. This creates an initial seal. Second, when there is pressure at the wellhead, the well pressure pushes the front seal of the ram from the rear of the ram to further squeeze and deform. At the same time, the well pressure pushes the ram from the bottom to float close to the upper sealing surface of the shell, thus forming a reliable seal, which is called a well. Pressure assists sealing effect.
The specific tasks are:
1. When there is pipe in the well, it can close the annular space between the casing and the tubing. It can be equipped with 2 3/8?, 2 7/8?, 3 1/2? and full sealing gate, which can close the annular space. Pipes with the above specifications are also available with cable gates. (Specific specifications are configured according to customer requirements)
2. When there is no drilling tool in the well, the well can be sealed with a full sealing gate.
3. In order to effectively control the formation pressure, it can be used in conjunction with the oil (gas) test manifold to achieve pressure balancing operations.
4. Special operations such as well killing and well cleaning can be carried out while the wellhead is closed.
