1. Main Purpose and Application
Plate gate valve is used for pass/stop of the control pipeline and the other mediums which rated work pressure is 70 MPa, full bore requires 103mm, working temperature range is -29℃~+ 121℃ ,and which mediums include petroleum, natural gas and the other material in sour environment and non-sour environment

c. Nominal bore:103mm (4 1/16 in)
d. Hydraulic control oil pressure: 10.5 MPa
e. Rated temperature level: LU
f. Material level: DD
g. Product specification level: PSL 3
h. Performance requirement level: PR1
3.1 The valve is rising stem plate gate valve made up of valve body, valve seat, wave spring, valve disk, valve stem, valve bonnet, nut of stem, packing seals etc.(see attached drawing)
3.2. All the parts (surface is humid ) of valve are made of alloy steel or stainless steel, which can meet the status requirements designed by the technical specification.
3.3 The valve-seat is a float-seal structure, which makes the valve seat joint tightly with valve plate, there is full of seal-grease in the valve cavity with a best sealing. The sealing-faces of the valve plate and valve seat are treated with welded nickel base carbide of 45~62HRC skin hardness, which have high hardness anti-abrasive and anti-scour to increase the valve’s working life.
3.4 The packing filler is “mouth” type structure, which can keep effective sealing at a nominal pressure and a high pressure
3.5. After valve is connected with hydraulic control pipeline, the position of oil-cylinder is pushed to move up and down by contacting fluid pressure so valve-stem has synchronized motion with valve plate, the valve can open or close. When the position moves up, indicator stem moves up with it, the valve runs to open, otherwise the valve runs to close.
4. Storage, Transportation and Maintenance. .
4.1.Valve should be stored in dry and airy room and shut the hole to make the valve close.
4.2. As storing, the connected end should paint oil for antirust and anti-fouling.
4.3. Before delivery, in valve cavity is full of high pressure sealing grease; After usage, till many times’ opening/closing or a bit leak on the sealing surface, sealing grease should be injected into valve cavity by sealing grease injecting valve of valve bonnet. As need, unscrew the nuts of sealing-grease injecting valve, and connect the high-pressure sealing grease injecting gun for injecting sealing grease into valve cavity, then screw the nut.
4.4 The valve is used to open/close medium flowing. In the course of usage, valve must stay at “full open” or “full close”, forbidden to used for flow regulation, otherwise to effect valve’s sealing property and working life.
5. Pressure Test & Installation
5.1. Before valve’s delivery,103.5 MPa hydraulic pressure tests had been done at twice. Do forbid repeated test.
a..Procedure of the test pressure: the both ends have test thrice separately, standup pressure time is no below 3 min at the first time, standup pressure time is no below 15min at the second & third time,There must be no leak or draw-down during standup pressure.
5.3 As valve connecting with pipeline, BX155 ring sealing gasket may be set at the end of valve, and connecting a pair of flange with bolts and nuts, which must be screw, and two pieces of 1″hydraulic pipeline of hydraulic control table will be safely connected with the top hole and the bottom hole in the side of the hydro-cylinder, so the valve can open/close.
6.1. There is a bit leak between a couple of seals of valve disk and valve seat, when sealing grease will be injected into valve cavity by sealing grease injecting valve, if fail, the sealing-face may have scratch or wear. Renovation will be done under face-off and ground finish.
6.2. As leak appearing on valve stem or packing filler of balance stem, the filler need replace.
